im due for a 30k maintainence which includes diff oil change, on my Toyota Tacoma, Toyota corp specs a 75w85 gl5 gear oil front/rear diffs, ive previously used the Redline 75w85 gl5 which seems to be a very thin oil and I can get residue build up on the drain magnet so I wanted to switch to a 75w90 for a little extra protection but also an oil that is not too thick that will reduce my MPGS and still retain wear protection.i came across ENEOS 75w90 gl5 #3092-300 semi synthetic oil and it seems to be a good compromise and is less expensive than Redline and I can get it local at NAPA. the ENEOS seems to be the thinnest 75w90 gl5 that ive come across and has a very high Viscosity index which is good. if anyone has feedback or used this oil in a differential application please chime in on results or other infos.
