I just recently received some M1 oil filters from a BITOG member to use toward OCI's for people that can't afford one. 2 of the filters are M-205, which mostly fit Audi, BMW, Porsche, and VW. They fit some other makes, both foreign and domestic. They are threaded 3/4-16. Inside looks like it may be a dual by-pass set up.
There is an elderly couple in my complex that owns a MAZDA B2500, 2.0 engine. The FL-400S is the MC filter for it, as is the M-209. The M-205 looks exactly like the M-209. I was thinking about giving the M-209 to their grandson for an OCI on their MAZDA truck.
Opinions, please? Thank You.

That will run just fine.

I used to run clearance SuperTech ST8316 on anything where a FL-400S is used. Never a problem.

BITOG member KCJeep sent me an STP-S8316 oil filter to use on my trucks engine. Sometimes upon start up the engine would tick for a few seconds. It too had a dual by pass valve in it.
Okay, the grandson will be getting the M-205 filter.
