2018 Accord 2.0 turbo. Going by OLM or 5k.

Here are the oils:

Mobil 1 0w-20 AFE
Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20
Castrol Edge 0w-20
Honda 0W-20 Fulkl Synthetic (kit with 5qts, oem filter and washer)

Filters: Wix
Honda OEM
Fram Ultra

trips are a good mix or short and highway/interstate. I am staying with 0w-20 for now for warranty reasons.

Thoughts? Thank you.

AFE and Honda filter for only 5000 miles. Ultra for multiple runs.

I'd use the Mobil 1 AFE, or EP (there is currently a rebate), and the OEM Honda 15400-PLM-A01 Filter. The Amsoil is a good oil, however, in my opinion, is not worth it for 5K mi interval -- the Mobil 1 after rebate is something like $15, if not slightly less + about $7 for the OEM A01 Filter.

Seems like a lot of love for both the Ultra and the Honda OEM.

My dealer has mixed inventory of A01 and A02 filters - Why is A01 preferred?

Not if you're already at Walmart picking up the AFE and don't have to drive elsewhere to get a Wix filter, it isn't.

Only place around me that has labelled and instock Wix and Wix XP is Oreilly. Napa has their filters but has to get them from 3 towns over and avail next AM.

Lol. Just sharing my experience with Amsoil. Seems to be doing great job so far. Will be going off of a minder with this fill which should get me around 8k. As usual, UOA to follow

Skyactiv here to add my usual harsh sounding opinions.

If the Honda runs rich using 87 octane vs 91 or 93 octane, that will affect the oil more than AFE vs genuine Honda oil vs Castrol vs Lubro Moly and so on.

I don't know what octane you use.

I was a technician at a Honda dealer before I went to Nashville Auto Diesel and worked onto becoming a union semi mechanic.
Retain your receipts for your oil and oil filters and mark the VIN#, date, miles and quantity of oil added on the receipts.
Keep the receipts in a cool dry place away from heat or light.

0w20 and a turbo is scary you have to admit.

Darn thing probably takes 5w40 in other counties...
