I dont know what to do- the asian sounding man called and said they had detected a problem with my microsoft computer.
I dont own one. I have another brand,
so how will I fix the problem on the computer I dont own?
It must be serious- they call every day trying to help me.

on a seroius note- seems the government could have fixed this problem long ago

Is it warm enough there to open the Windows to your house?

Could be substituted with opening the fridge if too hot.....
Make sure to name the fridge Windowzzz before that.

Please time the experience; If over 20 minutes, after they hang on you when you tell them about Mac/Unix, they will never call you back

Tell him your "fill in your name here"'s brother down for his funeral. Please don't call anymore as it upsets his wife. I guarantee it works like charm. "You" are dead now = No mo' phone calls. Works better than the No Call List. grin

If you are bored you can have fun with these clowns, he tells you to click this and that and you tell him you don't have that and ask him where it is and so on and so on.
After you get sick of the game tell him you have a Mac or linux and he will hang up on you or if you are lucky call you names, that opens the door for a whole different conversation. LOL

Edit: For a real good time try to sell them roofing shingles.

Do you all answer the phone if you don't recognize the number? Not really a criticism, just a question. I never would. If its not important enough to leave a message, I don't need to talk to them.

I don't answer for any number I don't recognize or expect. One trick these clowns use, is to use phone numbers similar to your own number or other familiar numbers in the area. If someone really needs to get a hold of me, and I'm not expecting the call, they'll leave a message, text, email, or all of the above.

I have a guy call me from a local number and he always asks if I need to refill my Viagra.
I keep telling him that I don't need Viagra but he insists that I do. The local number changes every time he calls.
I put him on speaker last time and my Wife got a kick out of it.

One of those guys called me and told me to log into my computer to fix a virus, I said OK and put the phone down.
10 minutes later, I came back and said I forgot my password. He told me to try to remember it, I said OK but it might take a while because I was very old and put the phone down.
Came back 10 minutes later and said I logged in but got distracted because I was watching (naughty videos).
He started laughing and asked me what I like to watch and I told him he was being nosey but I like (male only) (naughty videos) if he had to know, but asked him not to tell my wife.
He was still laughing and I told him that things were looking good because the drink coaster came out of the computer...he asked what I meant and I said the little shelf to put a drink out came out of the front, so now I had a place for my beer.
This went on for a while until a manager cut in, yelled at the guy, and the call ended.

I made a little hobby out of such hijinx when I had time, haven't had a call like that in years now.

I tried that since that's the only Spanish I know and she spoke back to be in Spanish.
