I belong to forums moderated by vendors. One by GM/Cadillac. Almost every question in that forum gets a robotic response...

The new sub-forum is a new venture for BITOG.

It is specific and narrow in focus; THF is the core concept. The vendor wants to be able to educate folks and answer questions that are SPECIFIC to the application of THF.
That in mind, they "moderate" simply on content. They read the threads started and posts to make sure they are content appropriate for the topic. If so, they are "approved" for public view.

All other aspects of BITOG operation still remain with we global moderators. (rules, etc)


The act of preventative maintenance, in and of itself, is FAR MORE important than brand/grade/base choices among lubes and filters.
- under maintaining something is akin to abuse/neglect; that can kill equipment by shortening the lifespan
- over maintaining something has never been proven to be anything but a waste of time and money

Seems like it will help to put a brief introductory sticky at the top of the new forum explaining the above. I agree that there is confusion over tractor hydraulic fluids so this might be a useful forum.
