Anyone try these? Seem like a great price compared to the 3m ones that are $30. Granted you use these with a power drill vs 3m with a die grinder

I have the 3M kit that goes on the end of a cordless drill, and I LOVE it. I've been using the same disk for 2 years now on all my cars, and haven't worn out the disk yet.

Yes $30, but very durable, and IMO worth the extra $20

I have a similar kit and it works great. I don't do wrenching in anger anymore so I usually remember I have the kit as I am torquing the lugnuts down.

I use a flattened beer can as a disk and/or a bit of steel wire rope in a tube, followed by a rolled up bit of beer can in a tube.

Leaves a rust-inhibiting aluminium finish.

I cant see why it wouldn't work okay just make sure they have replacement pads for it.

There's no rust on anything in that picture.

I use a knotted wire wheel On my elcheapo HF 4.5" grinder. Once clean , I spread some reg'lar old grease.

I would not use grease on the hub surface, its likely to sling onto the rotors. I know because used anti seize after a course at YouTube University. Noticed it was on the pads next check. Woops

Replacement beer cans have never been a problem, not even here.
