Whats the best free antivirus program as today?

Just wandering what people are using for a free antivirus program. I dont go on shady sites but like some kinda protection at all times.

I use this as well, and we also have it at work in addition to Malwarebytes.

I use Webroot SecureAnywhere, free through Ally Bank if you bank with them.

I liked this option for my...riskier... processes. Well, until my old laptop finally took a pooper. Now its Windows Defender/MSE and then right now I'm using Malware Bytes. Also CClean to purge the junk/cookies/etc.
 
Most Internet providers have a package of Virus protection that you can use free of charge. OR-use the MicroSoft provided protection-as stated above.
 
I use the ESET online scanner. Kick it on for a few minutes once every month or two, and not clog up my computer with parasitic tasks. Whatever comes with Win OS is enough to keep me "safe"
 
I use Avast, use to use AVG and got viruses, same with MSE, didn't find them, Avast found them and removed them. MSE seldom updates their virus database.
