Starting with the manual transmission...well done!

Building a memory is what you are doing!

My uncle taught me how to drive stick in his brand new CJ7 in 1977. Manual steering and 3 sp on the floor. I was only 13

When is she moving up to the Peterbuilt?

Is she enjoying it? Never hurts to learn a manual transmission, that's for sure! I bet not many girls her age have any clue what a manual transmission is lol

And probably never will, unfortunately.
Very true.

She's doing it in the right vehicle. My 16yo is learning on my 2008 Jeep JKU. The carrot is that once she gets the hang of it, she'll get to drive my 2018 JLU. Ok, maybe just around the block, but she'll still get to drive it.

I used my older HD2500 M5 pickup with a deep low first gear to train a couple of my kids. Hard to stall that truck if using first. I could train my sons, not so much my daughter. Learning curve was a flat line. Took my wife who has an infinite amount of patience to teach her.
