Check under my avatar, I defined Severe climate and severe climate=severe service and not the other way around..

True. I would guess you get more of the severe hot climate.
My kid likes to fire it up when temp is below freezing, then throw it in Drive, for only 3-4 miles. She is always "in a hurry".

I have one of our techs do the oil change on my mom's car because I hate dealing with the huge under shield. I normally bring a case of 0W40 from my stash but forgot it this time. Told the service writer to wait a few hours until the oil showed up from a vendor, Oreillys and AZ charge us $9.89/qt for M1. Not 5 minutes later the tech was in getting a filter and said he had already drained the oil. Le sigh...
