This from a new farm store that just open in the last couple months. Farm and Home. Anyone know anything about this oil.

It doesn't say anything on the bottle about it being new oil, maybe it's used at that low price!

I can buy that all day long at the local Rural King for $9.99.

I use the 0W20 flavor in my Mazda 3 Touring on 7500mi OCI without drama.

I'm confident that anything that meets SN/GF5 and Dexos 1 will go 7500 miles in the ~4 months it takes me to put on that sort of mileage.

I would guess maybe they are clearing out pre-dexos1 Gen 2 stock and most users probably shouldn't really care about "old" dexos1 vs. Gen 2. Should be very serviceable oil.

That is the every day price, until recently it was $9.99 and the singe quart bottles are still priced at $2.19. The RK I shop at has 0W20 and 5W30 that are both D1G2, running the 0W20 in my daughters Hyundai and wife's Honda.

Thanks for the correction!
Looks like the bottle from the ad is missing the Gen 2, but it's probably just an old picture.

Hey, no problem. Kind of a shame that this oil isn't more widely available around the county.

As a person who changes his own at 74 LOL just how old are you?

I have run HK dino lubes in my 4.6L Fords, and they do every bit as well as brand name syns for up to 10k miles. See my UOAs in the PCMO section.

Most any equipment cares far, far less about brand/grade than you do.

PS - I presume you got that at Rural King? Harvest King is their brand line, although I suppose it could be picked up by subsidiaries?
PSS - I updated your thread title for the full product name

Sucks they just raised price from $9.99 to $10.99 for the FULL SYN 5QT jugs

Funny story, I would NEVER be caught DEAD in a farm store. But last year, I had to use restroom one day, noticed a auto section and BAM I was in oil heaven !!! Could NOT BELIEVE the oil prices I saw on the shelf !!!
