I had posted the same thing over at the Cumminsforum. This is some clarification about the rear chassis mounted canister (spin on) fuel filter. Most just buy the Mopar unit and it was found it is sourced from Parker Racor. Mopar 6819786 is the same as the Parker PFF54529. I had found that Baldwin and Hastings make their own versions, BF46031 and the FF1279 respectively.
I had seen that Baldwin, Hastings, Parker among others are all listed under Clarcor umbrella. I emailed them and found that all of these filters are the same, just different labels affixed.
This is nice as I can source the Hastings/Baldwin filters cheaper than the Mopar ones. Just FYI for anyone looking at these and wondering if they are any good.
