Whats your experience with oil leak dyes, I borrowed papa's 07 Corolla with 189k. I took it for an oil change and added MMO to the oil and now is seems to be leaking more (dealer said there was an minor leak at the time). I also give the engine bay a wash. Anyways.. the oil is leaking faster now.. Noticeable spot on the asphalt. Tempted to replace the seals etc.. but wanted to try the oil dyes.

ASny brand recommendations? UV required or can naked eye spot it? Can you run it in the oil until next change or better to dump the oil. Car is a beater status at this point, maybe better to leave it be.

Dye works good you should clean the engine first. Check for obvious leaks first, the valve cover and plug seals (remove the coils and look for oil), front and rear seals would be a good starting point.

This with the light and glasses will work fine.

They dyes all work well. Clean everything, add the dye, drive it, and look. Then you can decide to fix it or use snake oil.
