https://www.walmart.com/ip/DNP-ECOBOX-Pennzoil-High-Mileage-5W30-Motor-Oil-1-qt/43803356

The way I read it, it's a 6 gallon eco-box of Pennzoil HM 5W-30 for $3.95. Anyone wanna try to do it??? Gonna be hard to tell the wife I need 6 gallons more oil when I've got like 15 gallons of various oil in the garage already.

So do they drain a quart out of the eco-box into a Ziplock bag for you? crazy

Yep, you'll get one quart. I ordered some PUP 5W20 about three months ago because they had it in stock and the price was 24.97, when they were starting to clearance it from the store shelves. I ordered two jugs. I showed up in the store, and the receipt WM printed actually said 5qt, 3-pk. The kid behind the counter said he could only find two of them and couldn't find the other 4 jugs. Long story short, the manager came and took the 24.97 price, divided by 3 (for the 3pk) and then charged me roughly $16 for 10 quarts of PUP. No rebate though because they had to punch in some special code due to the error and my receipt didn't show Pennzoil.

I think we've tried this numerous times in the past. The item is for the store's own inventory and shouldn't be exposed on the web, but they can't seem to figure out how to hide it.

In search of the holy grail?
There was at least one member here who actually got one of these packages of what was a Castrol product IIRC.
If one could actually get such a deal, it would represent a real steal.

I do not worry about oil prices, most oil is inexpensive and not exactly a budget buster..many fine brands out there and really no one is losing an engine over good name brand oils,,we haven't had anyone in here fussing about blown engines much at all................

If you click the "find another store" button and search the inventory of that store, it shows in-stock items. You'll find that they also have Quaker State conventional listed for $1.54 a quart, I believe. When you click the link to the oil, it shows the ecobox. I did the math, and for the 6 gallon box it works out to about $35. I asked the lady in the automotive section (I'm assuming she was the automotive supervisor since she was directing other workers on what to do} about the $1.54 price and that it appeared it was for the ecobox. She said she had never seen that and she would report it to Arkansas, but that she wouldn't sell it to me. I hadn't expected her to anyway, but I did ask!

I find it funny that walmart is the biggest company in the world, and can't figure out all these website issues.

They have messed up my oil orders several times, then I need to go into the store and fuss with customer service, who in turn has no idea so they call the same 1800 number I just called.

That is why they can't catch Amazon in the online department. I have had nothing but problems when ordering online from WalMart. I did the in store pickup and they couldn't find the items in the store, but I had already paid online for them. They couldn't correct anything in store because it was an online order, so it took about an hour of time and several phone calls to get the problem fixed and a credit issued. Never again, it wasn't worth my time.
