My wife said that she saw something about this in the news last week.i just bought one about 2 weeks ago and it's still in the box. Anyone hear about this?

Pretty sure that was for the InstaPot (like the PP XL)

For the wiring I think was the reason....

If you typed "pressure cooker recall" into google... it instantly would have dispelled your concerns.

Instant pot is indeed recalling 104000 cookers.. but NONE of them have the pressure cooker function

its the 8 in 1 multicooker (without pressure cooker function)
Quote:

the affected appliance, the Gem 65 8-in-1 Multicooker, does not have a pressure-cooking function (it does, however, have settings for baking, steaming, roasting and slow-cooking, among others).

and the beauty of a search engine.. instant gratification.

I got ripped off by the power pressure cooker infomercial.

First time I've ever ordered something from a 1800 informercial line.

Spent $79 for the Power Pressure Cooker XL. Used it two or three times in 90 days.

Thing burned out, smelled like electrical and started smoking.

Called the "helpful" warranty line to be told I only had 30 day warranty on the thing, too bad.
