Yeah thanks a lot. You guys must have sent some of that wind south to OK and we also got a bunch of grass fires. LOL

Its windy something fierce. Sun and snow and blow all day in Atchison,Lawrence, etc. Would have drove souther to avoid this junk. Getting a Braums ice cream makes me forget just about everything.

I hate high winds. Maybe this will make it more bearable.

I was driving in it the last several days and the crosswinds made it interesting.
Better weather is coming.

my dad made a joke about the Kansas wind. he would say he had a telephone pole in the back yard. with a BIG log chain on it. which was used to judge how high the wind is.

Here's a little tidbit that I find amusing:
Dodge City, Kansas, is reportedly the third windiest city in the United States.
Dodge City, Kansas, is also the setting for the old TV show "Gunsmoke".
Now every now and then in the show, it shows a windy setting, but for the most part there's no wind and the streets are as calm as can be.
The saloon doors are not sealed and you never see any wind or dust blowing in.
I guess where it was filmed in California, they obviously don't have the windy outdoor shoots.
I know, it's only a TV show and the average viewer never thinks about stuff like that, but still....
