Has as much ZDDP as Redline's racing oils, but much more detergent (Calcium).
Price is about the same as Redline.

Schaeffer has LOTS of Moly, but little amount of other ingredients.
Red Line has dialed back their formula - though still pretty good - But it's $14 qt
(they got bought by some corporation and the product got diluted a LOT)

Motul is good, but costs MORE.

RLI? Not enough people trying that yet.
Royal Purple was once good, now = Royal Joke

MPT? Never heard of it. Ingredients? Cost?
Heard of Joe Gibbs oil a very long time ago, nothing recent, though.

The Redline 5w30 and 10w30 are available on Ebay for $10/qt. Buy a case and get free shipping. The also have the 5w40, 15w40 and other varieties also for $11-12/qt

I would disagree, We do have plenty of moly and not just moly, but a superior Micron Moly, a big slug of zinc, an additional friction modifier in Penetro. Excellent PAO and Group II Plus base stocks. Schaeffers Racing Oils also gives the racer several options. 20-50,15-40,10-30,5-50 and straight weight Dino base 20-50,30,40,50 weights. (pullers and alcohol fuelers love these)

Schaeffers semi-syn racing oil

What doesn't compute is this:

Quote:
Group IV Ester Base, 100% Synthetic PAO,

The last time I checked an Ester was in the Group V category. Ambiguous to say the least.

The MPT 30K oils have less calcium and slightly less ZDDP than this stuff (but STILL a 12.xx starting TBN), but MUCH MORE moly (I forgot to ask which form it is), and they use (according to their owner) ONLY PAO/POE base stock, save for the carrier oils, and maybe some ANs.

They get ~$15.00/quart (and they WILL sell you a single quart), so yes, more than this PTH and Red Line, but less than JGD, RP XP, Torco SR5, 300V, and not sure what RLI gets per quart nowadays.

(And YES, they also advertise in the back {and middle} of Grassroots Motorsports rag, and sponsor some race teams as well.)

RLI's engine oils seem to vary in price quite a bit depending on grade and how much you order. You can get it as expensive as MPT, or less expensive than some off-the-shelf synthetics.
