Need to get some grass seed, probably rye to start then let it die out and get something hardier in there. It's a strip alongside my driveway that we often put a tire on for maneuvering, so it gets occasional automotive traffic. It has been so wet it turned muddy and the grass that was there for ages got beat up. I believe we are in zone 7a, fwiw.

I know all the major box store brands. Not sure if there are other brands or suppliers that I should consider that may have "better" supplies.

Locally we have HD, Lowes and Ace HW, if a certain nationwide brand is better.

Thanks!

Do you have any local independent garden type centers around? A lot of those guys really know their stuff.

There are heavy traffic grass seeds, Google it. I prefer Kentucky Blue Grass myself.
Some brands claim to have less inert weed seeds, like some premium Scotts products.
Rye germinates 3 times faster than Kentucky Blue grass.
