Has Bitog sunk to this level ?
I need to sharpen the knife first...
Then, choose a good size potato.
Wash it. shake the water.
Cut into thin slices (Am I crazy to not peel it?)
get a pot on the stove. dump 1/2 bottle of oil (Wife does not like that).
get it hot.
dump some slices and some salt. let it brown... golden-brown...
pull out with metal vented paddle onto plate (no more napkins to suck the oil; not enough time).
push the kids away while they are trying to eat them as fast as possible.
P.S. not really the texture of commercial chips, but with plenty of ketchup will do.
