What coolant would you guys run in a 1998 Corolla? Pro's and cons of other brands/types welcome. Thank you.

Don't know if it's the best but I'd use the Auto Zone Universal 50/50.

Im currently running super tech universal 50/50 long life
Toyota asks for a long life non silicate non nitrite non amine
And non borate ethylene glycol based coolant
I think super tech universal long life works out great for this application

For 7.50 a gallon its a deal
No issues at all...had it in about 10k miles so far

Where did you get the info about no silicates and such?

If its the pink Toyota mix, the 55/45 premix was 17-18$ a gallon up here, guessing cheaper down south. Zerex is a good option.

When I had my 2000 Chevy Prizm (exact same as corolla), I used super tech coolant and distilled water (40/60) w zero issues. I drove that thing 2-3k miles a month. Sold it to a kid that works for my buddy. The kid still drives that thing to construction sites for work
