Had a homer moment. It was a warm day last week and the cars needed it, so I ended up doing a OCI on mine and the wifes car....
In hindsight, I would have ran some FSC prior....

I have stopped doing maint. dosages of FSC, LC, etc a looooong time ago. Generally just run a bottle before a OCI.

What ill effects if any will I have if I run a bottle on a fresh oil change

Does it really bother you that much that you had to make this unnecessary post?

Seriously, YOU are nitpicking the verb tenses of other posters here?
That would make a cow laugh, as my dairy farmer cousin would say.

Keep it up and you'll have a vacation from this board. I'm serious.

I wouldn't worry too much about it - maybe if you drive a car known for fuel dilution there might be some cause for concern depending on how the FSC is formulated. If it's a good PEA-based one like Techron, SI-1 or Gumout's Regaine series or something that's mostly stoddard solvent/kerosene I wouldn't lose sleep.

Now, if we're talking strong solvent-based like B-12 Chemtool then it's a good idea to use that before an oil change. Most of the solvent should flash off from the oil but I don't like leaving circulating around for too long.
