What plugs for a Dodge Ram?

Hello everybody,

I have a question, my neighbor owns a 2000 Dodge Ram 5.2L with a Superchips performance tune on it. He runs 91 octane like recommended with the tuner. He wants to change his plugs/wires today since it is going to be nice out in our parts. What plugs do use recommend? He says it has 92,xxx original miles on it also.

I'd go NGK. Champion might have been OEM for it though.

Use OEM Champion. On my `97 Ram 1500 with 5.9 gas. I had detonation issues with Bosch Platinum and NGK Platinum, once I went back to plain old Champion Copper the detonation is gone. I went back to 87 fuel. I wished I had discovered this years earlier.

Champion would be my choice in a Mopar unless it came with NGK or Bosch(NOT the old-school Platinum design!).
