Looked at a bottle today of CLP LP. On the back it noted Solids and Solid Boundry Lubrication. Been using LM Ceratec. Does this mean there is a place for solids? Had great success with Archoil 9100,9300 and Ceratec in my car.

Incorrect and if correct...not good: "Boundary lubrication is lubrication by a liquid under
conditions where the solid surfaces are so close together that
appreciable contact between opposing asperities is possible."

Run..don't walk away from this product.

I believe that until recently Break-Free CLP (IS that the CLP you are speaking of??) used colloidal PTFE in their formulation. With the somewhat recent milspec changes, BF CLP has cut loose with the PTFE and now meets the spec.

Are you talking about Breakfree?

Breakfree did have Teflon in it. It might still.

The Breakfree LP version is a really good lube. I prefer it greatly to the CLP version.

And you don't need to run away from either. They are both good products.
