most WM in my area are clearancing qt sized diesel oils...Mobil Delvac & Delo 15w-40, Rotella 5w-40, Delo 10w-30; are these deletions due to reduced sales? my interest spurs from using hdeo in my scoot & moto...qt are easier to use than gal for the purpose

They don't sell well is my guess. Like I've said, less and less people are changing their own fluids. I remember when Target had a selection of oil and filters when I first started driving and that is where I bought oil. Target is down to two oils in a few weights and sells no filters at all.

Most diesels hold gallons of oil, so in a way, it makes sense. I always assumed the quarts were for the OPE crowd.

The diesel guys up here like buying it in pails, let alone quarts (or liters).

If you want the job done right......do it yourself.

Target is where I would go now if I wanted to overpay for oil. I'm surprised they keep it in stock -- I would not assume the 'typical' Target shopper changes their own oil, let alone knows how to pop the hood.

Good idea.. I canít recall when I last got a qt of motor oil there or any other big store. Itíll free up shelf space for more items

Clearance?
Well, we stopped by a Walmart in search of the elusive dirt cheap PP HM 0W-20 (found no such thing) and they had quarts of old T5 and T6 on "clearance" for $4.50 and $5.00 respectively.
Not much of a clearance when you consider that AZ was blowing out ten quart jugs of T5 for $15.00 last summer and then there was also the MIR which got you down to $2.50 for ten quarts of a really decent oil.
