Hi Guys,

My v8 pings under light load 3-4 gear ....
I found somewhere online that someone said that using this helps

https://www.goldeagle.com/product/104-octane-boost/

Is this safe to use with every tank ? Any issues with oil contamination this is DI engine.

Thx

What vehicle/engine?

That [censored] is so unconcentrated it barely makes a difference across a whole tank.

Does not look that great to me. MSDS reveals a lot of deodorized kerosene.

http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/3527600418.mb6474247yole5216/pdf

104 octane boost is $9.99 for 16oz and a lot of that is kerosene.

Xylene is an octane boost, a gallon ( 128oz) is $18.50 at home depot. I would expect the Xylene to raise octane more than a 16oz bottle of kerosene with other things in there. And its less per oz.

Some mixing info here. I'd be careful and keep it off the paint.

Are you using 93 AKI already? If not, do that.

^^^^^^

The Nuke has a very good list here. I would add Lucas oil octane boost in the red container. In a test done it raised octane about 3 numbers as well.

And to add to that... The Nuke has a really cool car to run stuff in as well.

Yes, don't buy the Gold Eagle garbage.

I used to mix Xylene into my gas in my turbo Mustang Drag car. Fun times!

They don't do that much. On top of that it's technically not street legal.

A lot of these products say they boost octane rating by 10 points. However, "10 points" means one AKI number.

Any codes stored or CEL? It sounds like you may have a carbon or possibly an EGR or other issue, using this if it does anything at all is only masking the problem.
