Hi Guys,

How to decode which number is the CCA ?

580A or 920A.

My guess is 580A but what is the 920A number

580 amps by DIN method, 950 by SAE method.

Both tests are conducted at -18 C (0 F). The DIN test requires the battery voltage to stay above 9.0 volts for the first 30 seconds of draw of the rated current, and above 6.0 volts for 150 seconds.

The SAE test is only the first 30 seconds, and also allows the battery voltage to drop to 7.2 volts during the 30 seconds. Thus when doing both tests on the same battery, the SAE rating will be a higher number. Current technology means that most batteries will reach a SAE rating about 1.5 times the DIN.
