for toyotas with 5x30 engines has toyota back spec

Yes, they have back specced my Sienna (originally 5w30) to both 5w20 and 0w20. I can post/paste the chart that shows what year/make has what recommendation if you want.

I can't answer your question, but I can guarantee you that when I saw that Toyota had said I can run 0w20 in my van, it sure made it easier to pour in the m1HM 5w20 that I did this morning (my first fill with a 20 weight in the van).

Good info!

I think engines that are in excellent condition can run a good 0W-20 with no issues.
