Is the fact that the center of the spot is clearer than the medium ring a good or a bad thing?

Both spots were taken at the same time, I wanted to compare 2 drops vs 1 drop.

288k miles 7AFE Corolla
2500 miles on Oil with 2 qts of Makeup

How did you make out on your engine repair?

Was the head gasket the only item needed?

The head gasket was burnt between cylinders 1 and 2, my 100k miles timing belt had cracks so we bought a timing kit and replaced the camshaft seal and front crankshaft seal.

The coolant consumption is gone. Now I wanna see if oil consumption lowers because of the new seals.

Here is a site that may help you with the "One Drop Test". I do the one drop test usually around the 7K mark of my usual 10K OCI.

Clear and whitish center spot is a good thing as it indicates low levels of contaminants,
BUT observance/presence of medium ring (of about 8 mm annulus) is a 'bad' thing as it indicates commencement of dispersancy failure.
What's the oil spec in question ?
