Does Ford use off the shelf Oil for factory fill or something special in there new cars and trucks?

I've never heard that it's anything special, so would say it's the same as off the self.

Nothing special about it. I don't know of any company today using break in oils, some use moly compounds for assembly and it finds it way into the oil but other than initial startup it does nothing for break in.

When you think about it, all factory fill oil is a break-in oil, but are there any particular oils that would be better than the factory fill for breaking in a new engine?
Don't most mfg. say to use FF until the first recommended oil change?
Yes, I am sure this and every other automotive topic has been discussed here, but some fresh opinions would be appreciated.

Ford does not recommend any special break-in conditions as it relates to the oil. There has never been any evidence they use special oil, so I think it is safe to assume it’s normal Motorcraft stock

I believe our 5w-50 Motorcraft up here might be a special import. I wonder what has gone on with Canadian Motorcraft HDEOs to prevent Ford from having fits about phosphorus levels.
