This gun has a 2mm nozzle. Will this gun work with thick dripless rustproofing? I have been using a suction feed gun and find that I cannot get enough volume of flow. So it takes a long time to spray a truck. I have come to the conclusion that to speed up the process I need a pressure fed gun.

The pressure pot I am thinking of using is this 10l pot

I will also need to use a spray hose. Can a hose be attached to the outlet of the above gun?

Thanks, Trav. I just called Pro-tek. Price for the 7535-UG gun is $321.75. Price on the gun + 5 wands 7535-UGK is $598.49. Very expensive.

I know you have been recommending the Eastwood gun. At US $199, it is somewhat expensive for me with the exchange rate, shipping and customs fees. It will be close to $400 Cdn to bring it in, so I was looking for a less expensive option. But the Pro-tek isn't it.

Between the Eastwood and the Pro-tek, would one be superior to the other?

That is a siphon fed gun and I have a gun similar to it. It works well with the thin drippy undercoating but does not produce enough volume of flow with the thick dripless undercoating to cover large areas in a reasonable amount of time. Hence my search for a pressure fed gun.

This is the gun I am currently using

Just checked the price on this gun

I was quoted $1279 by Napa !

I have the top of the line Eastwood gun with the wands and it works very well. Too bad about the exchange rate, that really stings.

For rustproofing I use a gun that is pressure-fed, and made to spray thick material.
You could also look into a schutz gun.

The Dominion Sure Seal gun I have, which I linked to in a previous post, is a Schutz gun and it does not provide enough volume with thick materials.

I use the one Eastwood sells and have had no trouble with it, it does a nice job. If I were doing big trucks then the other with the 2.5 gallon is the way to go.
Fluid film has a gun with wands that is much cheaper and will do the job fine its not a heavy duty and wont last as long but if you are only using it a couple of times a year its good enough. Look at Amazon or ebay Canada.
