Unfortunately Rural King seems to have joined the wave of motor oil price increases-saw that the synblend jugs went from $6.99 to $7.99, and the full synthetic went from $9.99 to $10.99. I was going to try it, but when they couldn't supply a PDS on either type I passed. Still cheaper than Super Tech (generally $11.97 & $17.97), but the gap just got smaller.

Spring is right around the corner, people are going to want to get out and drive and do oil changes.

Just in case everyone does not know this....

Oil prices across the board we're set to go up for a number of reasons... ELDs on 18 wheelers is a part of it.

Machinery and Lube mentioned oil prices were going to go up several months ago. So this is not a surprise.

And don't be surprised... A whole lot of other things we all buy everyday... Go up as well in price.

Probably because collecting the drain oil to be used as feedstock is basically a retail operation and that is very costly compared to having commercial feedstock transported by pipeline, barge, tanker or railcar.
You basically end up with a better quality feedstock gathered at great expense that you'd still need to hydrocrack.
You'd also probably need to purchase finished basestocks to be used as correction fluid for the various grades you'd have to offer and you'd also need to purchase add packs.

I meant to tell ya the other day that you did a good job on your vehicle for sale video.

And that you should do radio broadcasting of sports or talk radio. You have a gift there I think... Right tone, good inflection of voice, and right sounding voice for it.

If the used oil is re refined many of the waste oil burners would have to use a higher priced "virgin" oil which would raise the prices of oil any way.

There's often a LOT of contamination in used oil that pollutes and ruins the different catalysts used in oil refining.

Because of the expensive maintenance and upkeep (and subsequent toxic waste to dispose of) it's just too much of a hassle.

How Do ELD's Affect the price of oil??? I am a 35 year veteran of the trucking industry and i don't understand your statement,

ELD's will monitor compliance with the hours of service, yes some fleets will have a learning curve to learn how to manage their fleets more effectively,, and until then capacity will be down about 10-15% for that individual fleet

I think you should state that it will cost more as demand for trucking rises capacity will tighten as a driver shortage looms out there and trucking companies are trying to fill seats.

IMHO

Well it is causing trucks to have an EXTRA DAY or more on the roads.... Which does what???

Increase shipping costs a WHOLE LOT.

Think I'm just making this up... Listen to ATN. America Trucking Network. I have. They are all making it plain as day about the cost of delivery going up a whole bunch.

I have not driven for almost 15 years now, and way back then Werner was using electronic logging via GPS.

The current Rural King ad has full synthetic quarts for $2.19 each. Still a nice price.
