Anyone else got a 2012-current wrangler

Factory wranglers (lol) are finally at 1/32”
At 75k on my little womAn’s ride.
2014 jeep wrangler sport
255 /75 R17

Im looking at a set of cooper discoverer AT3
255 /75 R17 115T SL OWL
(No idea what that means, if anyone cares to explain?)

Any naysayers?
What are y'all using?
Sound decent?

Our Use will be
95% highway
4% city
1% other

Thanks in advance for your comments...

255 = Tire width in millimeters
75 = Aspect ratio. The sidewall height is 75% of the width.
R = Radial
17 = Wheel diameter in inches
115 = Load index
T = Speed rating
SL = Standard Load
OWL = Outline White Letters

You certainly don't need the AT3s for your 99% road usage and likely won't get 75K out of them (1/32nd really?)

They're fairly quiet on pavement, ride & drive well, and work great on dirt. And they look pretty good. <- important

Thank you ANTS and kd0axs for explaining that to me!

Azjeff, yes she wants the “cool” tires not the cruisers.
We like to go out to south padre island in the sand.
What kind of application did you use them on?
Was i lucky the stock lasted super long or are you scolding
me for running bald tires? Lol
I've ran tires down to 0/32” no tread at all, completely smooth
(Im trying not to let that happen again)

I have been real happy with the Cooper Discoverer SRX on my Jeep (Grand Cherokee vice Wrangler).

First set on an Xterra, liked them on and off road. Put a set on the 16 Silverado to get a bit more back road camping ability. They should do well in sand.

Stock tires are usually pretty hard to get good mileage out of them.

You would certainly get (at least) 75K out of Goodyear DuraTracs, but they are a bit more than the AT3's.

I have a set of the Cooper discoverer at3 on my xj. They are meh. Not really great for highway (loud) and leave much to be desired in winter. They work well on dirt and mild off road.

I had a set of nokian rotiva at and those were great at anything. A bit softer tread than you would think though even though the rating is 700.

Nokian now has a rotiva at plus out which may be worth a look.

1/32” and a vehicle with a high center of gravity that’s prone to rollovers? If you like this gal and want to keep her around, do better. 2/32” is the legal minimum in most places, for good reason.

I’ve got a set of AT3s for my Jeep. They’re okay, but not my favorite all-terrain due to the noise and difficulty to keep them wearing evenly. I’d much rather have the Goodyear Wrangler AT Advenure or General Grabber AT2.

I have Cooper Discoverer AT3's on my Jeep and my dad had them on his 2013 Grand Cherokee. They are decent tires, and last a good amount of time, but they do become a bit noisy as they age.

If you can swing the price tag, my friend has had 3 sets of Goodyear Duratracs on his Cherokee and they seem to be a great all around tire.

I've had 4 sets (soon to be 5 sets) of Nitto Terra Grapplers and they've been awesome on and offroad.

Also trying Hankook Dynapro ATMs on my Liberty, about 1000 miles on them and so far so good.

People also say the Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws are great too, I was going to get them but I didn't want to wait.

Bandito440, ive been trying to tell her she
needs tires for the last 6 months...i saw the two
Rebates at discount tire with this set and finally
she agreed. Lol Ive been watching for sales on these
For a while ($$$ coming back is an incentive for the lady)

I am going with discount tire as I dont feel comfortable
With those online places. Id rather have a store she can
Just go in if something happens.
Lots of DiscountTire down here.

I think I will go ahead with these
Cooper discoverer AT3

Thank you everyone for your comments
