I see some newer used cars that have unbelievable miles on them. My wife and I have probably put on an average of 12-15,000 miles a year. The most was probably 17,000.

I believe we did 25K in one particular year on an our old '88 Accord. Totally, we had 340K in 18 yrs but, this one year we really piled on the miles.

From '04-'12, I was doing ~18,000 miles a year.
I now do around 5,000-6,000 miles/year.

Was looking through my fuel logs, and from Feb 2011 to Feb 2012, I drove 17,237 miles, from April 2012 till April 2014 (2 years) I drove 9,712 miles.
Amazing what getting a job closer to home will do for how much you drive (60 miles a day 4 days a week vs 6 miles a day 3 times a week).

I picked up a C6 Vert (convertible Vette) this time last year with 165k on her and ended up putting 25,000 miles on her in the year of 2017. I put another 12,000 on my Titan pickup. From my research both of these V8's (6.0 & 5.6) are 3000 to 5000 hr motors and I would hop in either one and drive them to Cali and back without a worry.

I had an old 1970 Camaro back in the early 1980s that I drove over 20,000 miles a year as I was commuting to college. Then in 1987 I had a Ford Ranger I drove to WV from Richmond, VA every other weekend when I first moved to VA for work and my wife was still in WV. 23,000 miles that year. Commercial trucks my record was 160,000 miles in a year at $.43 per mile. Now we get $.50 per mile but dangit I'm semi-retired not making that big money anymore.

Almost 30k/year for four years running - work and picking up daughter from her mother. That, along with a lot of reading here prompted my switch to Amsoil...at almost 2500 a month I was changing 6x per year. Don't get me wrong I like to change oil but saving money and time was needed.

We took delivery of our CX-5 in February of '16 and we're sitting just under 39k miles. So I guess we're averaging 19,500 per year, though I anticipate that this should be slowing down a little this year.

I averaged about 31K miles per year with my 2010 FX4 (158,000 miles in 5 years). Travel patterns have changed somewhat these days and I have less than 20K miles on average with my PSD.

Our field service guys put some crazy mileage on the fleet vehicles... they replace every 2-3 years with new ones. Our guy in CA replaced his Edge after 36 months and 197k and didn't work nearly two of those months due to caring for ailing parents. Another one that services the Midwest got his 17 Escape in June 17 and already has 73k miles. He does numerous 700+ mile days a month.

Most I've done personally, I put 46k on my 1996 Cobra in 14 months while I was in the Navy. These days it's about 35-40k between my car and Odyssey combined due to family requirements.

I live on an Island where you can't go more than 60 miles in any direction without ending up flying off a cliff, or a beach into the mediterranian.
My daily commute is 6 miles each way 6 days a week from February to November.

20K is the most I've put on a vehicle in one year.
2-3 trips a year to Atlanta,Ga from the Houston,Tx area .

The little red Chevy Sonic my wife drives was bought in late June 2015 , new . It currently has 44,000 - 45,000 miles on it . I will leave it up to you to do the math . ( She puts quite a few miles on it per year , a lot of which are city driving . )

I put about 75k a year on my 2004 Sprinter until 2 years ago when I relegated it to dump duty. Now I put about 1k a year on it. 775k miles and still on the original engine and transmission. I wish the body wouldn't be so rusted, all those trips up north in the snow took a toll on it.

That's impressive.

20,600 miles on the Sonata in the last year and 3,300 miles on the Jeep. About 100 miles this past year on the Camry.

Before the Camry was retired I coincidentally put 20,600 miles on it in one year.
