Using the list of Dexos 1 gen 2 certified oils, is it safe to assume any of those oils will be perfectly acceptable for 4k to 5k oci?

then that confirms any store brand or off brand oil that made the list if perfectly fine.

Pretty much, especially in NC.

If you did a LOT of short trips in much colder weather, I'd say change it more often.
