i have a leak down tester with a single gauge that i bought 25 years or so ago. i have only used it once and that was when i first got it. i have been learning and doing more engine stuff lately and am thinking of playing with it again

i noticed that the new ones seem to be mostly dual gauge. So is there a difference in accuracy between the two types?

Single gauges were the norm back in the day and worked fine but you had to set the compressor regulator to the desired PSI which is basically the "first gauge" on most units today.
2 Gauges are more convenient but the results are the same. No reason to replace it, accuracy is the same.
