Are you running your browser in privacy mode?

Also there is a check box on the log screen to “remember me”. That cuts down the log ins as well

Cannot see signatures any longer so it doesn’t matter.

Even with remember me and not in privacy mode, sometimes it remembers, sometimes not.

Switching between computers doesn't help. Opening links doesn't help either.

It remembers me for exactly 1 week. That's how long the BITOG cookie lives.

That’s my experience as well.

Just clicked on an email notice for a topic and it went to it OK, logged in. When I was done reading hit the active topics link at the top and I had to log in.

Seems more based on a count of how many times you come to the site? I don't really know and clean out my cache everyday.

We've made a change that could trigger this. Please make sure your links to BITOG are: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com

Thanks Wayne. I wasn't being logged out but it would say I wasn't logged in, but if I clicked on a menu item I was automatically signed in.

I have a bookmark going to the "forum list" and updated it, works good now.

Recently I must sign in every time I visit the site. I can leave now, come right back and must sign in again. No biggie but mildly irritating.

I have to log in every time I visit.

Even being logged in right now to post this, I clicked on the link above and shows me not logged in. Yet when I click to read page 2 of the post, I am logged in.

I have just gotten used to the fact I have to log in every time I visit (and yes, I have the https:// link saved).

Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, on my iPad, Chrome, IE, Safari, does not matter.
