I have narrowed down my tire selection for my 2003 Suburban to the General Grabbers HTS60 and the Michelin Defender LTX MS.
I expect to only get 45k miles out of either brand before the Michelin's rot or the General tread wears.
What I am looking for is which is the smoothest and quietest ride.
My benchmark is the Firestone Destination LE2's that came with my truck when I bought it used. These are smooth and quiet, but I am looking for a stronger tire that I can tow with occasionally, plus I keep my truck loaded for work, so it is always running heavy.
Looking for ride and noise level of the Destination and strength of the Michelin's.
Anyone have any input on either of these?
Price is not an issue, I can get the Michelin's for 150.00 more than Grabbers, so I am looking for performance characteristics, not value.
