Factory Fill Oil for 3/4 ton diesel Pickups 2017 +

Just want put out an update on the details on the factory fill for Chev, Ford and Ram 3/4 ton diesel pickups as of 2017 or 18.
The weight and whether it's synthetic would be useful to know and also the brand if possible.

Why would the oil for the factory fill matter?

Factory fill for Duramax in Canada is 5W40.

The FF maters because of the ambient.

The truck is on warranty and they are on the hook. I'd like to see what they think is the right weight to put in it. (I'm not really concerned what brand, just curious.)

I haven't seen a non-synthetic 5W40 since the 70s. I'm in the "group III is a synthetic" camp.
