I used the wrong stuff too late in the year once (summer stuff) and my Silverado ones froze. Luckily I had some deicer spray in my truck that I hosed the nozzles with and they opened up, paying particular attention to the little spray port. It opened up. Keep a can of spray in the truck, hit it before you take off and run the washer until the stuff from the tank (where the alcohol hasnt evaporated) up into the nozzles.

It's the perfect rant overkill. Manufactures are always trying to reinvent the wheel. Like cars with no driver input, don't see any problems happening there.
