Hi All, A good friend of mine has a 13 impala. His wife now needs to use a wheelchair. He had a
hitch setup installed on this car. When he looks the wheel chair up to the hitch, the rear end
dips low. How low Iam unsure. He is in S.Carolina and Iam in Buffalo Ny.
I can't see where there is a device to make the rear struts "stronger". I would think a
replacement loaded strut would have the same condition.
Any Ideas?
Thanks

x2. You might be able to get shocks for a Police Impala and those would likely be stiffer but still might not cut it. Sorry to hear about his wife, best wishes to them.

+1 Google "air lift 1000" and see if they make airbags for that vehicle.

GM has a mobility program that operates thru the dealer network. He should try the dealer and see what GM may have to help.

Yes,it is a electric wheel chair. The strut does go thru the spring. I will google air bags, never
thought of that.
Thanks to all for your help.
