Wow, fantastic metal wear rate from a 9000 mi (Theta GDI?) engine from Hyundai.
Mainly hiway driving ?
Good candidate for increased OCI anyway.

option vs increased OCI is keeping on with this oil/OCI and ditching UOA

If so it was negligible. I’m running an 0w20 right now though due to the cold temps and one thing I have noticed is the high pressure cam-driven fuel pump is much quieter now and it warms up quicker. All of which you’d expect.

Interesting, thanks for the observation along with the UOA. I've been using 5w20 except for a one time run with 10w30. I didn't notice any audible difference. Not to say you and others aren't more perceptive, that is most likely the case. That being said, my next run will be with AFE 0w20 since i want to stick to a 20 for the foreseeable future. Hope i hear/feel an improvement too.
