One of my top three favourite Bands of all time, possibly my #1.

Search this rare video from '68 (not a link):

THE MOODY BLUES-PEAK HOUR+2-GALA DU MIDEM-1968 FULL VIDEO CLIP

Skip to 5m40sec to see Ray do an intro to Tuesday Afternoon.

I am Sad.

And the avalanche of Rock and Roll deaths continues.

I saw an interview with Carl Palmer a few weeks ago- in the past year he lost 3 band-mates: Keith Emerson (suicide), Greg Lake (cancer) and John Wetton (cancer).

I think Ray Thomas is only the second member of the Moody Blues to pass away after Mike Pinder.

And they will be inducted into R & R Hall of Fame in April. About time.

I am adding to my bucket list to see many singers/bands of the 1970s before they die.

They are getting old.

+1. Love their work from the late 1960's and early 1970's when I was in college. A very talented bunch. My favorite composition of his was "The Balance" in 1970.

Whoops! Pinder is still alive! Don't know where I got the idea he had died. So is Denny Laine (an original member before Justin Hayward and John Lodge).

Days of future passed.

All time great.

Wife and I saw them in Dallas when we were dating.
Great date, at the old Starplex, summer of '87.

Putting the CD in my truck now.

KILLER album!! I found an original mono pressing of it awhile back. The mono mix is awesome!!

I didn't know Ray Thomas wrote Legend of a Mind ( Timothy Leary's Dead). Good tune!

I wasn't a fan at all of the first incarnation of the MB with Denny.

Only after Hayward, and Lodge came aboard.

Glad to see there are some Moodies fans here.

I just started doing the same thing. We have a new little concert venue up in Derry NH called Tupelo Hall. I just saw Gordon Lightfoot, then The Guitarist from Tull, Martin Barre ( one of the top 10 rock guitarists of all time) and I'm going to see Al Stewart in February doing the Year of the Cat album (another of my faves for the NON HIT songs on there) !

The first rock concert I attended was the Moody Blues while I was in high school.

Sad to see more great artists passing.
