Hello,

I placed an internet order for an axle shaft for $268.68, via PartMaster . I paid half the price and Auto PartMaster sent me an e-mail changing the price to $342.00. The part I want is obsolete in the USA. I don't need it. Seems kinda shady to me, but it's the internet and a new world.

Thoughts about AutoPartMaster.com? It's based in Latvia, I believe.

Thanks in advance!

Respectfully,

Pajero!

Is there a core charge or shipping or anything?

No core charge. Shipping is separate. They advertised a price and I agreed and paid half. Bait and switch trick. I'm waiting for a response.

I'd run away quickly and dispute any charge on my credit card.

Worse than I thought. Should have google first. Red flag for me when they changed the price. Thanks........

TGIT (or any workday)

Go to your bank. Turn your current card OFF. Have a new credit card number issued.

Basically, you've hacked yourself.

I cancelled the transaction. Thanks Kira and everyone for the advise. The "Manager" never responded to my complaint concerning the part. I'm guessing that the company saw the part number is obsolete in the States, and was using that as an advantage. I recalled stating that it was a part I "wanted" and did not "need."

Good night!
