I had every intention of buying a Kobalt 3/8 dr electronic torque wrench from Lowes yesterday, 5 to 100 ft lbs, until I discovered the actual accurate range is like any other torque wrench, 20 to 100 percent of scale, leaving it accurate from 20 to 100 ft lbs. I torque alot of things in the 10 to 18 ft lb range, is there any electronic torque wrench that would allow me to do this accurately? Snap on has a 5-100 ft lb wrench, but again, only accurate from 20 to 100 lbs.

For 18 foot pounds, I'd use an inch pound torque wrench. Yes it would be close to the end of its range, but I still think it would be more accurate.

Sure there is but the price is in the stratosphere ($800+ drive attachments), when dealing with low torque values like 5-20 ftlb buy an additional 1/4" inlb tool.

I have 1/4" , 3/8" , and 1/2" because I think torque wrenches are more accurate in the middle of the range rather than at the ends.

100% agree. Just X 12 (because 12" = 1')
