My local WM has Valvoline 0W20 5 qt. containers on clearance for $12. They were $14 about 2-3 weeks ago, and they just keep stocking the shelves with it.

I promise you, the next time I go to my local WM, which will probably be this Friday, I WILL take pics!
I was in WM to get my meds. I have a new Medicare insurance company for 2018. I was using Walgreens in 2017, but The La. Counsel on Aging, who sets up my Medicare Part D, found WM at a lower price. I gave the pharmacy lady my new insurance card and there was a conflict of interest. I reached in my pocket for my phone, IT WASN'T THERE! I left it in the truck. But, she figured it out, so no need to call anyone. But, I didn't have it to take pics of the Valvoline.
But, check this out. If I'm lying, I'm dieing! A young woman was looking at the M1 section like a deer in headlights. I asked her nicely what she was looking for. She stated M1 0W20. There was none on the shelf, so I grabbed a container of the $12 Valvoline and showed her. She called her b/f-husband (?) and he told her to go to AZ and get it. I told her she was going to pay double, maybe more, at AZ. Ah well, their loss!
Can anyone figure out why WM would be selling it this cheap? Maybe to make shelf space for something else? I'm going to ask when I go there this week. BTW, I didn't buy any, yet, because it's not in the current budget. frown
To be continued...............

My guess is it's the older (non gen2 dexos) version and they are clearing it out to make room for gen2.....I'd stock up at that price.

I was told engine oil that starts with "0W..." is always synthetic.

There are semi-synthetics (Pennzoil, Honda) in 0W20.

Unless they have a ton of jugs in stock, it will probably be sold out if you wait that long. I'd buy 10 jugs of it if I saw that deal.

I'm heading out now to see if my local WM has any, I was planning on the AZ clearance I had been reading about but have made some good scores just the same for the short time on here.

Red cap or silver cap with the silver bottle? Red cap has max life tech, which I don't really want. Doubt my walmart is offering the sale, but may take the drive.

I believe you are right.

I'll have to look at Walmart tomorrow. If it's on clearance then there are no coupons involved, and my stash will be replenished.

+1, MC also makes one but it's for the C-Max hybrid. I used it once in the Matrix.

Just checked Walmart.com and the cheapest Valvoline jug is $16.97 white bottle. But who knows store pricing could be lower but usually it's the other way around.
