What is the best way to remove the blue coating on WSW tires without harming the white side wall? I would like to hear from experience rather than experimenting with home-brew chemicals. thanks

I have always just scrubbed them with kitchen cleanser, like Comet or Ajax. Some of the thick spots of blue take a far amount of scrubbing, but always got the job done for me.

That's it? Just household cleaners, or do nothing until it flakes off? That is simple. Thanks.

It's just a water based coating to keep them from getting scuffed black with another tire during shipment etc. It usually just comes right off with plain water, but soap helps.
