So I pretty much always do my crockpot porkchops the same two bottles of whatever BBQ sauce and a cup of water throw in some chops and let slow cook for about 7.5 hrs. It works and they come out good but I'm looking for some ideas other then BBQ sauce to put in the crock for the chops to cook in? Anyone with some crockpot porkchop ideas?

I have some pork loin in the crockpot right now, soaking in Fischer and Wieser raspberry chipotle sauce. This is the second time in 2 weeks I have done it...by request. IT IS AMAZING!

I'm gonna try this one!

Well, the store I visited first did not have any bone-in chops and the boneless loin chops looked boring. So, I'm making this recipe with picnic roast (shoulder) and cooking it two hours longer. I cut the roast into smaller pieces so it would remain submerged during cooking. Fingers crossed. It sure does smell good.

The end result was excellent. I think any cut of pork will work. The cooking time is all that needs to vary. (I cooked the shoulder for about seven hours to tenderize.) This is NOT a recipe for those who have to watch sodium intake. The sodium content in insane.

Good lord, no kidding on the sodium! 2180mg/serving

Whenever I make recipes like this, I always use the low sodium variants of the ingrediants; it will cut the sodium in half.

Made these today exactly as per the recipe. Verdict: good enough to have again, but could be tweaked as per personal preference. Next time, I plan to sear the pork briefly before it goes into the slow cooker, and make the sauce in the pan using the pork goodies. I might choose to to use boneless pork cuts or cubed pork steak next time. Also thinking about using cream of mushroom next time. The idea of chicken soup + chicken broth sounds to me like too many chicken products when you're trying to cook pork...but that's just me.

Try Pork chop stuff no written recipe exists. Pork chops, onions, green peppers, a can of crushed tomatoes. Slow cook for a few hrs or simmer on the stove for whatever.

The photo on the recipe page showed cream of chicken and mushroom soup. Looked better than plain cream of chicken so that's what I used.

6hrs 40min is a LONG TIME just to cook 4 chops. You could easily smother them in a skillet in the oven in a bit over an hour....with a LOT less salt.

You'd also develop far more pork flavor by browning them off first.

Just saying.....

Good pork chops are a thing of the past. You can't imagine how good pork shops were 50 years ago. I have ordered them in good restaurants and they taste like cardboard.
