What would be a good scan tool app for android for Chrysler vehicles but also works on other makes. Something that could watch live data. Free or not doesn't matter.

I'd start with torque lite and see if that does all you need it to do before paying for an app.

Torque of Android paired with a kiwi 3 blue tooth. IOS now I use Fusion. Both you can do custom pids.

How do you add pids. That was the part of it I didn't fully understand.

I have an OBDLink LX Bluetooth adapter for my Android. For quick code-pulling I use the OBDLink app. For advanced functionality I used to use the paid version of Torque but I got tired of the awful interface and now I use Dashcommand.

OBD Fusion works fine. $4 and a kindle fire. I got a wifi adapter so I can use with old Iphones too.
