So I was looking for brake pads and other things for my 8th Gen Civic EX with AT, bought some Ceramic Wagner TQ for front and Centric Ceramic for rears from Amazon(used, like new category).

Both pads cost me like $20 shipped to my door, only thing box was slightly damaged, but everything else is there and they are still sealed(never been used).

Will find out fitment later, once I'll try to install in the coming days, but wanted to share in case someone else is in the market.

Pretty sweet deal, overall.

Sounds like a great deal. I did that once for my LR3 and someone pulled a bait n switch, the box had the right PN on it and then there were some little pads in there. You got a good deal it sounds like.

I have bought a lot of stuff from amazon at a deep discount just because the box was a little damaged... but all the pieces/hardware were all still there.

I've had mostly good luck with Amazon's scratch and dent items. In most cases, they're just open box, or dented packaging, with the item being perfectly brand new. However, I bought an item once that had a completely different (lower end) brand and model inside. At least with Amazon, their return policy is great, so I wasn't out anything in the end.

I had Wagner TQs on an 8th gen Civic Sedan that wouldn't stop squeaking though...

Thanks, yeah that's what I have read after buying them!

How did you fix it? I might just replace them if they'll be a pain!

I did the same thing for a pair of brake rotors.

One was cracked. They sent me a new pair on the house. A bit of hassle but not a bad deal in the end.

Yeah, so I verified with each individual brake pads manufacturer, to make sure pads which I received are going to be an OEM replacement. As per them, yes.

Will find out smile

Honestly, if you ask me I think Amazon is better than eBay for a lot of things.

Plus, their customer service is better than eBay, usually!

No, I am not getting paid fir anything...

Though, I would still buy many things from eBay and directly shipped from China laugh

I always get the Open box stuff. It is 90% of the time just a return and perfectly fine. Sometimes crazy cheap. Amazon has a great return policy, especially if prime member. Just need to know how to do it.

I love doing brake jobs because I like looking at a fresh brand-spanking new set of pads and rotors, then I put them on and they get worn away and the feeling is gone. sick

Its been hit or miss for me. I got the wrong brakes once, missing a pad another time, and a carburetor I ordered was a no name Chinese one sold as a OE premium one.
On the other side someone left a tool in one box so almost got pads with a free tool. smile

So if you are ok with the risk and not in a rush you can try. I would not do it if you need it sooner than later though.

Amazon's "Warehouse Deals" are often a great deal. I've bought them at least a dozen times over the past few years and have rarely had a problem. You do have to inspect the product carefully, because most of them look like they are open box customer returns, and sometimes a piece might be missing.

I don't do these buys when time is tight, but do use them if I am in plan ahead mode.

if you are looking for something specific, it would say 'New/Used Starting from' just click there and it'll show you all options...

I'll add a screenshot shortly...
