Hi,

My Rockport gore Tex boots are decomposing.

Need a new pair. Looking for no particular brand, but want that style, Gore Tex, made in USA.

Recommendations??

Price point?

There was just a thread going on work boots, but for something in the ~$130 range, I've found Timberland Pros to be the most comfortable, long lasting and easy to source for that price range. I wear them for 12hr shifts, 48-72hrs/week. I do rotate 2 pairs.

I recently purchased a pair of Georgia work boots from TSC. I've only got about 24hrs of wear time on them, but they are hurting my toes! I can't get them broke in. Really disappointed so far. They were $129.

I wore Justin lacers with J-max comfort system for years. They became hard to source locally so I got a pair of Georgia boots. They were very uncomfortable so I was able to return them to the store for some USA made Red Wings. The Red Wings are great as well.

I do wish I could still find the Justin’s since they were cheaper just as comfortable and made in Carthage, MO. The local store that sold them now has Chinese made Carhart boots as their “premium” brand. I will say the red wing soles are more durable than the Justin’s so I am still getting more for my money with them.

Finding boots is like finding a woman and everybody will want something different or have different specfics to meet.
Wolverines used to do good for me but the last two pairs wore out in 6 months of course I abuse them in mud, water, concrete and asphalt plus 265 lb grinding them into the ground. I didn't like the Redwings I bought, lasted forever but we're never as comfortable. I bought Georgia Boots this last time and really like them. Super comfortable. I wore the tread off them and had to regroove them. Been abused though and still going after a year.
I had Carhartt boots before these and absolutely loved them but they were too pricey.
Good tough boots though.

baby oil/lotion? inside and outside......

I'm looking for that specific style.

Not just any gore Tex boots, and not workboots or technical hiking boots.

A mid height boot with a stiched top of the toe box is far from uncommon or only produced once. I have seem that style in use countless times; it's just a matter that I'm not aware of who offers what brand wise.

Surely a thousand people on this site have worn the same style boot as well.

I was curious, a lot of manufacturers make a moc toe, but not many make them with Gore Tex. Most are still waterproof, just not specifically with Goretex.

Here's a Thorogood with what seems like a Gore-Tex-like liner:

Redwing version:

Danner version:

Those both have the crepe sole, which may not be what you're looking for, based on your picture. These from LLBean may be closer, but not made in the USA:

I appreciate the links too!
