Same here....I never saw the remake.

I love the first movie.

Anytime I hear music from the soundtrack I'm instantly taken back in time to the 1980's.

I wish I could relive that era in my life.

1 and 2 I really liked. 3 was OK. The Next Karate Kid, OK, too. They're all worth watching at least once.

And then there is the Jackie Chan version of The Karate Kid. Anything with Jackie in it is worth watching.

I liked the old Asian guy but I couldn't stand the clumsy kid. Would've been a great movie with a different kid.

I was born in '75, so can definitely relate to some of the comments here.

Many times, with a good movie, the sequels are a let-down, but I think all three KK movies are excellent.

My kids (14 & 8) enjoy watching a lot of my favorite 80s movies, so that's fun.

Absolutely - Elizabeth Shue was a real highlight in the first movie.

Last I saw of her was in a Pirahna movie remake. Still looked good to me!

I'm the same age as Ralph Macchio.

Last thing I saw him in was that series The Deuce on HBO recently.

Love them!

I always think of that song whenever this movie comes to mind.
